LIVING ROOM REMODEL

Living room remodel, had to take down some AWESOME wood paneling (these were 8' x 4' sections), under that is about 5 layers of wallpaper.

The room posed some challenges with arches. The decision made was to put up 1/4" sheet rock over the wallpaper. We didn't have to purchase a dumpster for removal of the old walls, which were made up of a mixture of plaster, wood paneling, and sometimes it seemed just wallpaper.

The front door with a couple coats of kilz 2, before final final painting.

The final view, we reused the upper molding from the old wall, not the best choice but it gives the room some completion for the time being. Overall the project was a pretty simple do it yourself type project. I think the total expense was less that $400.00 for paint, sheet rock, nails and so on.
